SuperNewForagingPlus

8pm Wednesday 24th April 2013

Hornbeam Cafe, E17

In this month’s free skillshare in the cosy Hornbeam Cafe we will find out about identifying and sourcing the wild food that grows around us, along with new foraging practices such finding and ‘skipping’ perfectly edible food that goes to landfill.

We will be shown and discuss the tips and tricks of foraging: the “wheres”, “hows” and “whys” around it.

There will also be an opportunity to find out a bit about what Transition Walthamstow is up to, and add to our ideas for events and projects in 2013.

From 8pm, Hornbeam Cafe, 458 Hoe Street, E17 9AH

8pm Wednesday 27th March 2013

Hornbeam Cafe, E17

Join us at 8pm at the Hornbeam Centre for a fun evening where we’ll find out how easy it is to keep our bicycles running smoothly via a small number of simple maintenance activities.
We will get hands on practice with brake & gear adjustment, learn how to keep our pedals & wheels spinning efficiently, and how to fix a puncture. Afterwards we’ll have a chat over a cup of tea and some nibbles, before repairing to a local pub.
Bring your bicycle and a bike lock (as there may not be room for all the bikes in the cafe). This event is free.
